I am using a SL 5.5 and believed to have disabilited the automatic
(if exist) updates of kernel or modules, in fact:

 1) I don't have yum-autoupdate (available only on SL 6, i guess)

 2) The yum.cron correspond to checkonly.yum.cron

 3) In yum.cron.excludexs I have the following row
                kernel* openafs* *-kdml-* kmod-* *firmware*

but after some problem I found in yum.log the following entry

Jun 26 11:50:13 Installed: kernel-devel-2.6.18-308.8.2.el5.x86_64
Jun 26 11:50:14 Updated: kernel-headers-2.6.18-308.8.2.el5.x86_64
Jun 26 11:50:23 Installed: kernel-2.6.18-308.8.2.el5.x86_64
Jun 26 15:13:04 Installed: mesa-libOSMesa-6.5.1-7.8.el5.x86_64
Jun 26 15:13:04 Installed: mesa-libOSMesa-devel-6.5.1-7.8.el5.x86_64

but I don't have installed these items, so how it is possible it? On the PC
is still running some other automatic update script or i don't have
correctly disabilited this options?

Regards
Max
