Yasha, please look up this kind of thing on http://rpm.pbone.net,
which is wonderful for finding such packages or binaries. In this
case, a fast look under SL, CentOS, and "our favorite upsteram vender"
6 for "xdvi" shows that the "xdvik" package in the EPEL repositotory
has the "kpathsea" version of xdvi.
