No, they have not. In SL6, they have removed the old graphical system-config-network tool,
so either use nm-connection-editor or vi.
(The new system-config-network is a text-mode gui with every useful function of the old tool
removed, except for the most trivial ones. For example one cannot remove the binding of
network interfaces to specific mac addresses helpfully created by the SL installer
to ensure that your system stops working if you replace the network card or the motherboard
or move the disks to a spare chassis).
