Alan,

Unfortunately I never even checked elrepo.  Do you know if that package 
is the same version that is currently on ReakTel's site?  If so then 
using the elrepo package would be a better idea than having to rebuild 
the source every kernel upgrade.

I do know my system has an uptime of 22 days vs. more like 22 minutes 
(literally!) with the stock kernel.
