Good lead. We tried them and they work like a charm. So we will
upgrade the packages from 1.4.3 to 1.5.3. 

Regrettably the compat packages from 1.5.3 are in the
same way broken like the packages from SL6.1

I'm a little bit irritated that such a bug was not
noticed before.
