He supplies all the bits that are not part of the upstream vendor's
site, all compiled and packaged for enterprise Linux.
Many are aimed at the desktop user and would have been available if you
had chosen one of the other versions of Linux (Fedora, ubuntu, etc)
which don't have a place in the enterprise version.

The Fedora equivalent is probably the rpmfusion repo or packman for
opensuse.
