Hi...
One of our users has this problem. He updated his laptop to
sl-release-6.1-2.x86_64 .
Now cups cant find the printers on our network. SL 6.0 with :
cups-1.4.2-35.el6_0.1.x86_64
works fine.
The version of cups on his laptop is, :
cups-php-1.4.2-39.el6.x86_64
cups-1.4.2-39.el6.x86_64
cups-libs-1.4.2-39.el6.x86_64
cups-pk-helper-0.0.4-12.el6.x86_64
cups-libs-1.4.2-39.el6.i686
gutenprint-cups-5.2.5-2.el6.x86_64
cups-lpd-1.4.2-39.el6.x86_64
We have tried via the system-config-printers utility to find the network
printers, as well as commandline.
By setting debug log output in cupsd.conf,
we get this message in /var/log/cups/error.log:
