Hmmm - Not 100% sure if this will solve it, however try installing 
kernel-xen from http://www.crc.id.au/repo

Its kernel version 2.6.32.41 - and although it has the extensions to run 
as a Xen Dom0, most of the config should be the same as a stock EL6 
kernel...
