I see now.
Well, not being a kernel  hacker i thought that the code below is
responsible for the absence of the usb* modules:
config-2.6.32-131.2.1.el6.i686:
#
# USB Input Devices
#
CONFIG_USB_HID=y
CONFIG_HID_PID=y

i assume ( maybe incorrectly)  that to get usb as modules, the lines
above should have "m" instead of "y". Was wondering if this is true or
not.
