Hmm...I didn't see it in EPEL6, so I assume it was in Redhat now. That 
is odd.

Hmm...cmake seems to be in SL6:

http://ftp.scientificlinux.org/linux/scientific/6/i386/os/Packages/

Search for 'cmake'

Version 2.6.4

Did you try

yum install cmake

?
