The other option is to download the kernel sources and recompile it
under SL 6.0 yourself. I've done that for mine and my version shows up
as this:

Linux version 2.6.32-131.2.1.el6.i686
([log in to unmask]) (gcc version 4.4.4
20100726 (Red Hat 4.4.4-13) (GCC) ) #1 SMP Sat Jun 4 12:39:10 EDT 2011
