Hi
Thank you! The yum command fixed the problem. I also edited the
/etc/yum.repos.d/sl-updates.repo file as suggested but the
/etc/yum.repos.d/sl-fastbugs.repo file was not present. Should I
perform the following to insure that everything is current?

yum clean all
yum update
yum check all

I have also noticed that some packages (pdb2pka; part of the pdb2pqr
package http://www.poissonboltzmann.org/pdb2pqr/ ) cannot find
portions of numpy (also installed) during compiling.

As this workstation is relatively fresh, I am open to doing a fresh
install and trying various solutions.
