Hello,
We have released the second Beta of Scientific Linux 6.

The release is at
http://ftp.scientificlinux.org/linux/scientific/6rolling/

DVD and Net Install downloads are at
http://ftp.scientificlinux.org/linux/scientific/6rolling/i386/iso/
http://ftp.scientificlinux.org/linux/scientific/6rolling/x86_64/iso/

***CHANGED SINCE ALPHA 5***
yum-autoupdate was added. It is installed by default.

Changes since SL5:
All configurations are now in /etc/sysconfig/yum-autoupdate
Nothing depends on this, so it can be removed if desired.

SL_no_colorls was added.

redhat-logos
Updated Plymouth rings image with smoother font.

Install-DVD
This DVD contains only the packages TUV had on their install DVD.
If users install with this DVD they are able to select the updates
   repository without problems.

Everything-DVD's
These are the DVD's we've always released.
These DVD's contain the entire DVD release.
If users install with this DVD they cannot select the updates
   repository.

***KNOWN ISSUES***
If you install openafs during the install, you do not get the firstboot
screen that asks you which cell you want.

If you are on a x86_64 machine, install the adobe repo, and install
flash-plugin and/or AdobeReader_enu, you will get AdobeReader_<random
language> in addition to what you asked for. You will also get many i686
packages installed for dependancies.

***CHANGES PLANNED FOR BETA 3***

We are planning on SL6 BETA 3 to be released Friday February
4, 2011

Expected Updates for Beta 3
- get openafs firstboot to run correctly.
- kdemenu problems fixed
- any other bugs fixed.

Thanks to everyone who has tested and helped thus far.
