I forgot to add in the recent reply that I tested the dvd on the install
system which indicated a positive test. (there was no need to test disk
2 since it never got past the package initial installs on disk 1, before
the install crashed.

I attempted install using two different downloaded iso and four
different pairs of disks just to make sure. When attempting to install
the OS. I had time since I was waiting for other work to get finished,
and I didn't need to really use my workstation on Monday during this time.

What other sources of issue could I investigate?
