Hi,

Here is a short list of scientific software that people at AIP have 
wished to see packaged in SL.

Data processing
	gdl
	yorick
Math
	octave
	maxima
	scilab
Video
	xine
	(I don't find totem very functional)
	mplayerplug-in [found in DAG]	(for Mozilla)
