spurious APIC interrupt on CPU#0,

I get a lot of these interrupts on a single processor system.

The processor is a single core Athelon from a few years ago.
  
example:

kernel /vmlinuz-2.6.18-194.3.1.el5 ro root=LABEL=/ rhgb quiet apm=force
noapic api=off pci=noacpi
 
Added:
"apm=force noapic acpi=off pci=noacpi"

The fix of adding definitions on the boot command line does not make a 
difference.  
I keeps appending this error to my "messages" file that are single errors and 
some have 4 or 5 adjacent messages. 

Any Ideas?
