Problem updating perl on 64-bit SL50/SL52 machines

Recent yum updates on my 64-bit SL50 and SL52 machines have been
failing with the following error message:

Transaction Check Error:
  file /usr/lib/perl5/5.8.8/File/Path.pm from install of
+perl-5.8.8-32.el5_5.1.x86_64 conflicts with file from package
+perl-5.8.8-10.el5_2.3.i386
  file /usr/lib/perl5/5.8.8/List/Util.pm from install of
+perl-5.8.8-32.el5_5.1.x86_64 conflicts with file from package
+perl-5.8.8-10.el5_2.3.i386
[...]

On 64-bit SL54 and 32-bit SL52, the updates worked perfectly.  Please
could someone look into this bug?
