Hello.

I have SL 5.4 x86_64 system installed. Recently I tried to compile program
which requires FFTW library. I have fftw3-3.1.2-5.el5.1 (and corresponding
-devel) installed from the SL repository. 64-bit build was perfect and
32-bit
failed due to missing libraries. I tried to install it but found that
only 64 bit
package is provided.

This concerns only packages 'added compared to vendor'. They all are
x86_64.
All the rest (to my knowledge) have both 32 and 64 bit libraries. Also EPEL
repository have both for FFTW 3.2.2.

So my question is whether this is bug or a feature?

Later I installed fftw3 packages from SL5.4 i386 repository by hands and
this works fine.

     With best regards, Vladimir.
