Hi,

I'm trying to get two graphics cards to work under SLF5.4 x86_64 for a quad
display workstation and I'm having trouble.

The motherboard is an EVGA P55 SLI running an I5. 4Gb memory. 1Tb SATA
drive.

Both graphics cards are EVGA GeForce9500 GT PCI-E cards.

I downloaded the Nvidia driver package from Nvidia. It installed fine. With
one graphics card the system does dual-display and does not seem to have any
problems. An Nvidia splash screen appears momentarily in mid-boot.

With two graphics cards AND the Nvidia driver the system freezes in
mid-boot. If I switch to the Nvidia driver while booted and restart X the
system freezes (no disk activity, no Ctrl-Alt-F1, no nuttin) and only a
reset, single user boot, and edit xorg.conf will get me going again.

If I use the VESA default driver the system boots fine with one display. I
can't configure a second (or third or fourth) display though.

I've tried various permutations of
setting the PCI addresses for each card config in xorg.conf,
using xorg.conf flags to delay loading kernel modules,
both nvidia and xorg config utilities,
	google...

But no joy.

Any insights from the vast user community?

Thanks,
-B
