The real reason that Qt3 is provided is that SL5 installs KDE 3, and KDE 3
uses Qt3. This will never change. Qt4 is available on SL5 for apps that
require it (recent versions of Skype, for example), but Qt3 will always be
required for KDE 3.
Presumable SL6 will ship with KDE4 (as it is based on recent fedora releases),
and so will default to Qt4. But even then there are some KDE 3 apps hanging
around that will also require Qt3.
