Tim,
Thanks for the speedy response. However, as I am a beginner w/ Unix/Linu
x,
I do not know what to do w/ md5sum (or sha1sum). Note: I downloaded w/ a

Vista PC then burned DVDs via "BurnCDCC" application as w/ other distros
I
am testing for small network client conversions. (I picked Scientific for

its educational potential for my kids.)
i.e.: When I try to download either of these files it only displays...
     d673632a2db1e01f48081aa470cfdce9 SL.54.110309.DVD.i386.disc1.iso
     389f8e468cf4d03950017b6fb4aeb8d9 SL.54.110309.DVD.i386.disc2.iso Th
ese
are the names of the iso files that I downloaded. Otherwise, I'm not sur
e
what to make of this.
Otherwise again, this is the directory list I'm looking at:
     11/04/2009 04:03AM 148 SL.54.110309.DVD.i386.SHA1SUM
     11/04/2009 04:02AM 4,222,232,576 SL.54.110309.DVD.i386.disc1.iso
     11/04/2009 04:03AM 576,346,112 SL.54.110309.DVD.i386.disc2.iso
     11/04/2009 04:03AM 132 SL.54.110309.DVD.i386.md5sum

Please advise.
Thanks.
