SL48 LiveCD/DVDs for i386 and x86_64 are ready for testing:

Included are all the latest updates for SL48.

I think I will wait for the latest kernel update before releasing them.

       Scientific Linux 4.8 Live CD and DVD (32bit and 64bit)

The Scientific Linux Live CD/DVD is a bootable CD/DVD that runs 
Linux directly from CD/DVD without installing. It is based on 
Scientific Linux 4.8 (SL48), which is recompiled from RedHat 
Enterprise Linux 4 sources (RHEL4 AS Update 8).
