thanks for info. hate to hear hans is on a federal vacation. tho better
than a state or local. i was following his case for a while, but ended up
losing track. a great mind is now lost.

i have heard a lot of pros and cons about ext3/4 vs reiserfs3/4, but
i have preferred reiserfs due to it using actual file size and not by
block size.

i guess i can get used to ext fs for systems, but i will hold off until
i have to make change. actually hoping someone will pick up reiserfs and
bring it to a practical point.
