i thought this, but being that you show 'modprobe reiserfs',
i wanted to be sure.

going offline and shutting sl5.2 after i send this.

i will be making hard disk, tape and dvd backups before i try install,
which will take a few hours. will be back online tomorrow and let you
know how it works.
