I am sorry I can't help you further. However, I did run across this bug
which sounds like the one you're suffering from.

You probably should post your problems there so they can help you out.
The status is closed, but I think it was closed only because the
original person who opened the bug resolved it by using his computer at
a work, which makes me think it may be related to your internet settings
in some way.
