I would recommend installing the kABI-tracking driver that is
referenced in that Wiki article (see 4.2. Download the wired Ethernet
driver).  It was built and offered by a CentOS community member, Alan
Bartlett.  It is independent of the kernel version and will become
available automatically upon every kernel update.
