The first alpha release for Scientific Linux 5.3 x86_64 has been released.
This release has all the new updated packages from The Upstream Vendors 
Update 3.
It will install, and it appears to work, but now major testing has been 
done.

We have also put up the changes for i386.  But it will not install, the 
installer keeps crashing.  But the packages are there if people want to 
test them.
