Dear all,
I got problem running 32bit Firefox 3.0.4 on SL 4.7 64bit. Execution fail
s
with following error:

/usr/lib/firefox-3.0.4/firefox-bin: symbol lookup error:
/usr/evolution28/lib/libpangoxft-1.0.so.0: undefined symbol:
g_intern_static_string

This library is part of evolution28-pango-1.14.9-7.el4.i386 package. With
out
this package Firefox 3.0.X doesn't run although this package is not requi
red
for dependencies. Strange point is that during
evolution28-pango-1.14.9-7.el4.i386 installation following error occured:

/usr/evolution28/bin/pango-querymodules-32: symbol lookup error:
/usr/evolution28/bin/pango-querymodules-32: undefined symbol:
g_option_context_new

From my point of view the evolution28-pango-1.14.9-7.el4.i386 package i
s the
cause. I spent hours checking whether this package is correct and how to

correct the problem.

Please, could someone provide me with hints to solve the problem? I need
32bit Firefox because of Java, etc. I wasn't successful with 64bit Firefo
x
for my applications.
Thanks.
Dusan
