So you didn't use yum to update from 5.1 to 5.2?
We haven't actually tested using the installer to do a minor upgrade.  But in 
the end, everything *should* work out.  But it looks like something didn't.

Can you send me full the output of

   yum clean all
   yum list firefox
   yum update firefox

If it seems too long, just end it to me directly.
