I'm new to eclipse, and it looks pretty powerful for C development.

I installed on my SciLinux (5.1) the entire group and was wondering if
this is the recommended thing to do.

This is what I did:

sudo yum list eclipse
sudo yum install eclipse (and it returned that there is nothing todo)
sudo yum install eclipse* ( and this installed 58 packages, did I goof up?)

Please let me know.
