Scientific Linux Release 4.7 Release Candidate 1 i386 and x86_64
          August 22, 2008

The first release candidate of Scientific Linux 4.7 is available for both i386
and x86_64. It is in the rolling area.

http://ftp.scientificlinux.org/linux/scientific/40rolling/i386/
http://ftp.scientificlinux.org/linux/scientific/40rolling/x86_64/

The current state of the release is available at our whiteboard page

https://www.scientificlinux.org/distributions/rolling.whiteboard/

Please test and send back any feedback.
Please especially check that the new updated comps.xml file didn't break or
change anything you didn't think should have been changed.

CHANGES since 4.7 Beta 3
_____________________________________________________________________________

**comps

The cleaned up the comps.xml file so that it doesn't have lots of extra
packages that are not in either i386 or x86_64.

**Misc

- Compared all the rpm's with The Upstram Vendor's release, making sure we were
not missing any packages, and taking out any packages that were removed.
- Double check all the packages to make sure they are at the right version.
