SL now offers R-2.6.2 and will probably have 2.7.0 fairly soon (if I get 
time in the next couple of weeks I'll contribute it).

We have a couple of gnumeric fans so we provide builds of it based on one 
of the fedora srpms - I forget which one but it was probably whatever was 
current (in fc8) when I last looked in April.

though be aware that some of those are specially locally tweaked packages 
which may not be sensible for use except at this site.
