OK ... now there is a new Alpha out.
It has a correct yum-conf.
I really apologize for that.  The rpm spec files are very similar, and even 
though there was an SLF over everything I did, I didn't notice it at all.

There is also the new R (2.7.0) in the Alpha now, but it currently doesn't say 
that in the release notes.
