Hi Troy:

Unfortunately the changing repository stuff didn't work, any other
suggestion...

The second question is related to change the screen resolution.

We recently moved from Debian Sarge to Scientific Linux 5.0. We
installed SL in a Pentium III Celeron at 1 GHz and everything works
fine, except the screen resolution.

The Monitor is a Compaq MV-540 and was working fine at 1024x768
resolution, with SL 5.0 the maximum resolution is 800x600. Then we try
to change using the GUI interface on System/Administration/Display and
it doesn't change the resolution. Also we try changing by hand
in /etc/X11/xorg.conf, but it doesn't work too. Any suggestion will be
appreciate.

Thanks in advance

Ricardo
