I have to also install the "-devel' kernel RPM? In addition to my kernel 
RPM?

I had no idea!

Well, 10 seconds of work and now its all fine!

btw, I could also build the rpm source from makefile as well but its a lot 
of work applying all those
patches in proper order, following the spec file.
Yes, easier to just build the rpms and save 'make' building the kernel for 
tarballs it seems.

Now...snowboarding : )
