Hi,

just something I noticed again when I updated from SL50 to SL51. In the
yum-conf RPM /etc/yum.conf is defined to be replaced in case of an
update, whereas /etc/yum.repos.d/* are considered as "noreplace".

%config %{_sysconfdir}/yum.conf
%config(noreplace) %{_sysconfdir}/yum.repos.d/*

Hence my personal setting in /etc/yum.conf were overwritten by the
update. I don't remember, if this was already discussed before. But I
think an update should not replace /etc/yum.conf. /etc/yum.conf should
be defined as noreplace.

What's the reason of replacing /etc/yum.conf by the update?

Cheers,

    Urs
