When I'm at home and starting a new xterm session I get the following message

aklog: Couldn't get fnal.gov AFS tickets:
aklog: unknown RPC error (-1765328346) while getting AFS tickets

Same thing happens when I try to kinit from home. I can connect but only via crypto
card. Ocassionally I will also get slow boot up times as AFS searches for a cell. I've
searched the SL-users listserv for information on this but have not turned up anything?
What exactly is going on with this system? I unecessarly running the AFS deamon (I'm
not sharing any local files)? Alternatly am I not running another service that my system
requires?

A little information about my system. I'm running SL-4 installed on a sony laptop and
connecting via wireless (see below). The home wireless network is hooked up to a cable
modem and serves several different machines. I believe that ip addresses are assigned
dynamically.
