Hello,
   I'm trying to install SL4.4 on a computer with:
        Processor Intel dual core 2.8GHz_64 bit, 1GB RAM memory,HD1= 80GB
SATA on VIA controler(ide mode),HD2= 20GB ide, and CDROM= ide. The
board=ASUS P5VD2-X.
 The problem:
       . with SL5.0 everything works fine BUT I do not have "the advantages
of 64Bit". So, I decided to install SL4.4_64
       . With no kernel flags at installation, SATA driver is not
recognized. Only ide HD & CDROM. I tell You that the computer works normally
with almost full resources when I install the SL4.4_64 on 20GB ide hd
without detecting SATA driver.
       . With "all-generic-ide" kernel parameter, SATA driver is recognized
BUT THE CDROM & IDE 20GB DRIVERS ARE NOT!

              Can You help?
