Hi,

We are thinking upgrading our server for our home directories.. we have two
choices
and I was wondering if anyobdy had experience running SL on either of them..

The first choice is a DELL PowerEdge(TM) 2950 Server.

The second choice is a computer that is manufacturer by a local company with
the following
features:

- Intel S5000XVN ATX Server Motherboard which has among things a:
- Intel 5000X Chipset 1333/1066 MHz FSB
- Dual Intel 82562 10/100/1000 Ethernet

The computer comes with (the significant bits)
- 2 x Intel Xeon DC 5130 2.00 GHz 4M/1333 CPU
- 2 x 1 GByte DDR2667 FBDRAM DIMM (2 GByte)
- Samsung 18x DVD +/RW
- 1 x Seagate 250 GByte SATAII HDD 7200 rpm 16 MByte (3.0 GByte/Sec)
- 2 x Seagate 500 GByte SATAII HDD 7200 rpm 16 MByte (3.0 GByte/Sec)

Any opinions and ideas are most welcome.

Cheers,
Aldo
