Hmmm, this is puzzling. I have installed Greek and probably reinstalled all language
dictionaries via "File::Wizards::Install new dictionaries..." option (its DicOOo 1.6.2
program) by unselecting the "Do not download dictionaries that are already installed on my
computer (no upgrade).

I will uninstall OpenOffice.Org 2.1, erase the configuration folder, reinstall it and see
what happens.

Did you try OpenOffice.Org 2.1 EN-US version, or some other localised one?
