Hi,
When you are ssh'ing between the two machines, are you trying to do 
kerberos authentication?  Or are you trying to do password authentication?

If this is kerberos authentication, I can see a problem.

Also, can you find the error messages on the linux machine in 
/var/log/messages and send them.
