Hi Mark,

The Live CD that came with SL 4.3 has never worked with this pc. It 
hangs just after it shows you the options for booting. I should try that 
live alpha CD SL 5 that mentioned before. The only way we managed to 
install SL 4.3 was setting all sorts of options at boot.

But I do not think it is a hardware problem because while it is booting 
it is showing the graphics gui.. the cursor, the spinning dots and a 
description of each step.. it is only when it is finished booting and it 
is about to show the login screen that I get the flicker.
