We have been using XFS with SF 3.0.5 and the 2.4.21-37.EL.XFSsmp kernel
for about a year now with out any problems.  We have 4 software striped drives
(2 on each of 2 controllers, SATA) with XFS on top of that and NFS exported to
a number of other systems.  These drives contain our entire system, with the
exception of the /boot partition.  We are running the `32bit' OS.
     This discussion has got me wondering though and a bit confused.  What
platforms can run `X86_64' and which only the `32bit' one?  I guess one could
run the 32 bit OS on 64 bit hardware.  What are the advantages of the 64 bit
over the 32 bit, if any, and visa versa?  Thanks for any clarification.
