The XFS that is in 

 ftp://ftp.scientificlinux.org/linux/scientific/4x/i386,x86_64/contrib/RPMS/xfs/ 

Is a rebuild of the XFS from SGI and not the one in the 2.6.x kernel.  See 
the README.sgi for more info.
