It might help if I actually put out the rpm's I built from Jarek's
source rpm's.
I have tested these on two computers and they work.
I have to say that I think it's a bit counter-intuitive that you have to
run a deamon in order for it to work, but ... well ... that's what you
have to do.
You can do
yum --enablerepo=sl-contrib install ipw3945d ipw3945-firmware
kernel-module-ipw3945-`uname -r`
Or, you can download them and install them from hand from
ftp://ftp.scientificlinux.org/linux/scientific/40rolling/testing/i386/RPMS/ipw3945
ftp://ftp.scientificlinux.org/linux/scientific/40rolling/testing/x86_64/RPMS/ipw3945
Setting it up is a different story. Any good tips would be helpful.
