The APIC table configuration is usually read
from the BIOS or EFI or ... and lets the kernel
know how the interrupts on the machine are
configured. The APIC table in the BIOS has to
reflect the motherboard, slot and processor
configuration. As the problem has just started
with this version of SL, it might be fixed in a
later version of the BIOS. However, as a word of
warning, we tried this on a particular server
and ended up with a different issue. Resulting
in having to back out the latest BIOS and also
use noapic.
