This is nice, but since the b44 (broadcom ethernet) driver plus the
stock kernel lock up when I enable the wired adapter, I am running with
a brand new kernel (2.6.18) and most things work. I had to hack the
ipw3945 to build on that kernel as well (2.6.17->2.6.18 broke it due to
a detection problem with what ieee80211 API to use).

I have a couple of outstanding problems (nothing bad enough to prevent
me using the system though). Does anyone know how to fix:

o SELinux has to have enforcing=0 to boot on the more recent kernels
   - is there an easy policy fix or such that would help here?
o hald segfaults at startup
o where the heck is the battery status applet for gnome in SL4
   - there was one that worked fine with acpi in SL3 but I'm darned if
I can fine one in SL4
