Hi Paul,
Thank you for testing.  I just need some information so I can track this 
down.
Was this a fresh install?
If this was a fresh install what extra things did you install during 
install?
If this was an upgrade, what were you upgrading from?

Also, can you send the output of
   rpm -qa | grep valg
