Hi all guys,

I'm new to SL, after a looong download i finally have the 4 cd images ready :)

Well the problem is my first attempt to install SL 4.3 did not go the way i
expected, actually it did not go at all.

After booting up the first cd i have the good prompt, so i press <RET>, and
kernel load................................... (OK)
inird load................... ... then the machine simply perform a reboot :-|

I tried to remaster the image on other discs, to burn the other boot image i found on cd 4, to pass all boot options that make sense to me (mem, text,
apm/off etc) and to change bios settings (apm, dma) but I'm still not able to do it.

The pc is an old k6-2/450, 256/ram, voodoo3, new-maxtor80Gb, awe64 but works fine with linux in general (slack/old-redh) so i think it is not a hardware problem.

Does anyone have suggestions? If someone has any clues as how to solve this and want to help I'd be grateful.

Thanks,

Mat Soren
