We've been using Asus A8V boards with
great susccess with SL3. A vendor sent
us some systems with A8V-MX boards to try
but SL304 kernel panics very early in the
boot process-- this appears to be a lack
of VIA VT8251 support.

The A8V-E SE uses VIA VT8237R and the
K8T890 chips. I can't tell from the
docs if these are supported under any
version of RHEL3/SL3. I've looked all
over the web, but can't find anything
helpful.

The vendor wants us to try this board.
Does anyone know for sure if any version
of SL3 works with this board, or at least
the chipset? We'd need the PCI-E to work
for video, as well (nVidia and ATI claim
their drivers work with PCI-E).

Thanks,
Miles
